up-date on my xenia
On my previous post I've told you the story of me buying my xenia.
I still love the car, the car sucks! but I still love it.
How sucks the car is?
well, the 1000cc engine noise is really2 loud and shakes hard, just like 80's disco... :)
the brake is hardly capable of stopping, truly ABS (asal bisa stop), the suspension is a nightmare (got bad headache if you go to Bandung through Cipularang toll road).
When raining, you cannot hear yourself thinking, the extra thin steel in my car really multiply the rain noise.
but I still love it
This is the first car i own, so its something very special for me. to see my name on the car's registration paper is a very proud moment for me.....
the good thing about having this car is, it introduced me to this forum, its called avanzaxenia.net its an online forum for people who own or use avanza/xenia. its a nice noisy knowledge forum.
the story of me joining the forum starts many months after my car arrived, I believe about mid 2005 I search the internet try to find information about the car, I came across a forum hosted by astra daihatsu motor but the content of the forum is totally hijacked by screaming disappointed customers. the forum is very helpful and they really2 hate daihatsu. after some time this brave guy Mr Bobby from the forum created his own forum called avanzaxenia.net in july 2007. the timing was perfect because months later the daihatsu forum was killed by daihatsu.
I'm not an active member in this forum, mostly read-only-member, but since I'm an early member I watched the forum grow from 12 people (I'm number 12 when I joined!) to 6,000 members and counting, I learned a lot from this forum, how Internet can be your freedom of speech tool, how to behave in internet jungle, how you can get friends or family or even mortal enemy from internet
But now I'm thinking of selling my car...... I'll up date you on that later!
